Periodicaly
meetings are held with the people who live in the towns nearby
such as: Las Palomas, El Desquite, Gallinazo and Montaño,
to inform them of the projects that are being done and at
the same time exchange educational and life experiences. The
purpose is to sensitize through educational conversations
that will benefit the Río Blanco reserve since they
are directed towards protection and giving information about
the different species.
This valuable group of country people
is a column of support for the protection of nature, and they
are supported in turn by their own common sense of conservation
and respect for their environment. They become permanent multipliers
and guardians of this great reserve.
At this time visits and trips are
being organized with the purpose of recognizing and correcting
what is necessary in order to stop logging and overhunting.
